Pelican Zen delivers djembe drumming workshops for team development events and those who want to learn the basics of djembe drumming.
It's a great way for team members to step out of the daily grind and have some fun together.
Our participants tell us they love drumming because it gives them the opportunity to focus on something other than work or worries.
It's a shared activity and we work together to produce the rhythm.
You don't need previous music experience to attend...This workshop is for people who have never learnt the basics of African Drumming and those who want a refresher. Including How to hold the drum, how to produce the three main sounds on the drum and how to put those sounds together to make a rhythm and join in the drumming circle.
How much does it cost?
60 minute workshop - $250 + gst for up to 10 participants ($10 + gst for each extra participant)
90 minute workshop - $300 + gst for up to 10 participants ($10 + gst for each extra participant)
120 minute workshop + 15 minute break - $340 + gst for up to 10 participants ($10 + gst for each extra participant)
How many can attend?
Minimum 6 and maximum 20 attendees - Includes the use of our adult size djembe drums.
Where is the workshop held?
We deliver the workshop in the Mackay Region, in your workplace or event venue.
You will need a space big enough to sit all the participants in a circle.
Also our drumming workshops are very loud so you will need to consider your neighbours and/or check with the venue.

Is there an age limit?
Yes attendees under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. The workshop is delivered for adult learners and not suitable for under 10 years of age.
